Thirteen days of Halloween read aloud: “The Black Mare”

“The Black Mare” from “More Tales for the Midnight Hour” by J. B. Stamper

This is just another silly little story, like all those found in the “Tales for the Midnight Hour” books. I don’t know that I would even really call it creepy, but it involves death and witchcraft, so I decided it counts. there are probably better ones to choose for a Halloween reading, but there is something about this story and its variations that I like, so here it is.
